Any chance you can get your doctor to order you a long acting painkiller like ms contin(morphine) or oxycontin(oxycodone)???Demerol is a poor drug for long term use and also comes with a siezure warning.If you stay on the demerol and want to wean down then I would drop to 2 every 4 hours for at least a week or two then 2 every 8 hours for a couple weeks and so on.Good luck.....Dave
