| Re: CRPS Type 2
I am sorry for your accident. I started to direct you to the RSD board; then I checked it and saw you had already found it. Several people on that board have spinal cord stimulators, and a few have pumps. Most people are on a long acting pain medication (my husband takes methadone), a short-acting one (like Norco), something for nerve pain (I saw you couldn't tolerate Lyrica--there are also Topamax and Neurontin) an anti-depressant (Cymbalta has pain-relieving properties), and possibly a muscle relaxant if that is a problem. Don't use ice--warm soaks may help. Physical therapy is also very important. Most people have lumbar sympathetic blocks (if the RSD is in their legs) but they are not as effective if they are not done early on. Good luck.
