| Pain Moved To A New, Higher Level
This weekend, something happened. My pain moved to a new, higher and permanent level.
Right now I have right flank pain wrapping into the back that hurts with every movement and evey breathe. MY left leg is getting weaker and I'm having pain in the middle of the back, up from the usual location near the tailbone.
I was supposed to have an MRI last week, but my PCP Doc has an amazingly inept back office and they thought that the onus for procuring a referrel for the mri was on my PM Doc. Even the HMO said that they were wrong. If all goes well, I'll be having the mri today.
Still, in the back of my mind are the comments from the last OS I saw who hinted at Cancer. He brought up the idea of a bone scan. I'm certainly not one of those people who sees cancer with every sniffle, but a few years ago I did have a blood test and the Doc said it showed either Cancer or a very strong strain (sic) of arthritis. Further testing showd it to be the latter. But my sister had breast cancer (survived) and my Dad had prostate cancer (did not survive) so it does run in the family.
And things like the missing left leg reflex make me wonder what is going on. But all I can say is that things are getting much worse on the pain front.
