Narrowing of the nerve outlets on "Both" sides of a vertabrea.
Stenosis is narrowing, The foramin is where the nerves from the spine pass through the vertabrea, Bi means both sides.
The surgical procedure to correct is called A Foraminotomy. They remove bone to enlarge the outlet to allow more room for the nerves to pass without compression. If they have to enlarge both sides of the vertebral outlets it would be called a bilateral foraminotomy.
