Re: does soma muscle relaxer cause tooth pain
I've never heard of that potential side effect or expereinced it in the 5+ years I have taken the same dose of soma. Certain meds can cause dry mouth and can cause recurrent decay after long term use. Meds like antidepressants used for sleep, opiates, steroids, anything that dries the mouth and used over time can create huge expenses if you don't stay on top of the problem and adjust your lifestyle a bit to manage the dry mouth.
A side efect like clenching or grinding could be atributed to pain, SSRI antidepressants use, stimulants, etc, but soma is relatively benign in those aspects. It's basically a mild tranquilizer with muscle relaxant qualities. Tranqs and muscle relaxers don't usually cause grinding or clenching, this class of meds is used to treat that problem.
That's a new one, Good luck, Dave
