| Update..pharmacy gave Rx back
Hey friends!
Told you guys I would update when I got the Rx for lortab filled.
I went today and had no problem. I did speak to the pharmacist and tell him the situation. He was very nice, called the doctor, the note was in my chart, and he filled the Rx. Insurance covered it and all.
We chatted as I payed, and he said this whole situation was possible because it was a schedule III, which can be called in and because the note was in my chart at the doctor...he also said it is illegal to post date a script in my state so it is not all together uncommon for people to fill scripts (not for schedule II-the time on those is shorter) a couple of weeks or a month old. That if a doctor or patient is going out of town or something, often the doctor would write two scripts for the same med on the same day. (Why not just do a refill, I don't know?)
AND...I did tell him my problems with the Mallinkart (sp?) brand so he put in the computer to either give me brand name or another generic. He also made the comment that others had issues with the Mallinkart brand. He told me anytime I had issues with generics...be it on my meds or antibiotics for the kids...to tell him and he would put it in the computer!
I really like Wallgreens and I am so glad I switched! Thanks for all your advice and help. I also made an appt for the 14th to discuss my pain levels. You guys were so right about keeping an open mind about surgery and other meds....I am going to discuss all this with the doc. Thanks again!
