| Re: Update " Test shows hydromorphone ( Dilaudid )..."
glad things worked out for you eddie.what i really don;t understand about this same thing happening to people over and over who post here about it,why in the heck don't these docs actually know about how a drug is actually metabilized and what it breaks down to?i mean seriously, people are getting let go from their PMs over these false UAs,you would think any good pain clinic would just 'know' this info for god sake?
this very thing happened to me.the hydromorphone showed up in my UA at my very first UA at my 'new' PM clinic.i saw the results of it when i requested all my medical records but nothing was ever said to me about it and was wondering just how in the hell actual diaudid ended up in my UA without me ever actually using it ever at that point for anything?or why my PM never actually said anything to me about it,i mean geez, dilaudid and nothing from my PM about why it was in my urine?after i saw shore post about this very thing a few years ago,it was only then that i knew why it was never actually brought up to me by my PM at a new clinic even.becasue it was expected to just 'be there".go figure.any place that does UAs on people taking opiate based meds needs to really read up on what could be in someones UA without them ever actually taking anything they were not supposed to.thats just ridiculous for them to be that totally clueless,ya know?if this issue alone could get some very compliant patient just kicked out of PM over this,it needs to be basic common knowledge to the folks doing the UAs.pretty basic stuff there.a little education wouldn't hurt.
okay,i will get off my box now.have a nice day people.Marcia
