| Re: Please Help!
What you are experiencing is SSRI discontinuation syndrome which is withdrawal symptoms from the cymbalta. You should have weaned yourself off of this instead of stopping it cold turkey. Here is some info that I found:
The manufacturer of duloxetine - brand name Cymbalta - warns that "one should not suddenly stop taking this medicine, as this may cause withdrawal symptoms such as dizziness, pins and needles sensations, nausea, difficulty sleeping, intense dreams, headache, tremor, agitation or anxiety. Withdrawal symptoms are temporary and are not the same as addiction."
Hopefully the nausea will get better after a couplde of days. You can buy anti-nausea medicine over the counter at most drug stores. You may have to ask the pharmacist since it is difficult to spot on the shelves. Sometimes it says it is for children but you can take it just double the dose. If that doesn't help try taking Dramamine (motion sickness) medication which will help with nausea but make sure you get the non-drowsy formula because the regular one will make you VERY DROWSY. That should get you through the nausea which will probably last for up to a week. If that doesn't help enough there are several prescription medications including Phenergan but all of there will make you very drowsy. Keep us posted
