Yes, it's available, but I wouldn't recommend it. I take Methadone now and I would say to go with Methadone by Roxane. Much better med.

Hey Director,
I'm with you on the Methadone. Strangely, another customer at my pharmacy expressed a preference for the Mallincrodt brand. This is so contrary to everyone's experience that I know, I don't know how to explain it.

That is strange that someone would actually prefer a drug from Mallinckrodt when they have such a reputation of making junk medicine. I only know of one person (on another board) that promotes Methadose. I had it twice several years ago, and I requested my Pharmacist order in the Roxane tabs and he has been stocking them for me for about five years now.

i've been taking 40-60mg of Methadose/Methadone for several yrs and just found out a couple mos. ago that retail pharms can no longer order/carry/distribute the big fat 40mg pill. my dr. had no idea until i told him this. i've always been surprised at how little my dr. seems to know about pharmacy laws.
