On Narco and tired all of the time. - Pain Management Message Board

I have been on pain meds for about a year now. The hardest part for me is the fact that they make me so tired. Is their any pain medication out there that does not make you tired? I am kind of limited in what I can take, the Narco seems to work well, but it does have its drawbacks.

I have been on Norco for 2 1/2 yrs. now and when i first started i had an issue with being tired and sleepy. If I take my Norco within the first hour after getting up, it makes me tired all day. Although i hurt like hell first thing in the morning, i make sure to wait atleast an hour if i have something scheduled for that day. It makes a world of difference to me. I also try to eat before my meds and not after i take them. If i eat after i take my meds it makes me sleepy. Just a few suggestions. Also try taking your meds with something caffienated.
