Anyone With Pelvic Pain - Pain Management Message Board

Just wondering what some of you are taking for pelvic pain. It seems to have gotten worse as time goes on. I had a lap in July and was doing good but it is worse now. I have met with many doctors and started going to a PM in August. He put me on Lortabs 10/325 but I really don't want to be on narcotics. Any suggestions??

Hey Winnie...I'm sorry you're dealing with pelvic pain. I, too, have severe pelvic pain, and I take Lortab 10. I agree that it's not ideal to take narcotics daily, but in order to function, I have to. I had my last lap in June, and I was a little better for a while, but as adhesions started to form again, I have gradually gotten worse. I hope you find the medicine that is right for you!

How much do you take on a daily basis? Are you going to a PM doctor? Is this something you are going to deal with for the rest of your life...Sorry for all the questions but This is where I am however I have found it very difficult to come off the hydros. After eight years of taking them it was hell on earth trying to stop. I became dependant on them and when it was time to try and stop I had to taper and then tell myself I no longer want these in my life anymore. How are you dealing with this?
