has anyone tried the new oxycontin 60 mg? - Pain Management Message Board

They have two new strengths ,30 mg and 60. I take 80 mg but when the warmer weather gets here,I get lowered to 60 mg. In the past,I would have to take a 40mg and 20 mg.I'm wondering if the new 60 mg I would get the same relief as a 40 and 20 mg. I know they add up to the same mg,but you would be surprised that there could be a little difference.

Hi Madhatter:

I'm thinking you'll have even better coverage with the 60mg oxy. By taking the dose in 2 parts, you were probably getting erratic release of the meds, by the 2 pills releasing sometimes at the same times and sometimes differing. I would think it would be a more consistant coverage. Good luck and when the time comes let us know how it works. cmpgirl
