Hi Anna , my recovery time was a few weeks , probably 3 months until you can do more.. They like the lead or leads to scar in so they don't move .. I had mine done last June , and I can hardly tell its back there . I had mine done by my surgeon , I wouldn't let a PM Dr. near my spine so it was in the hospital and I was in overnite . See a surgeon will do a Laminectomy so they can get the leads closer to your nerves the PM Dr. doesn't do this . But the closer they get it the more stimulation you'll have . Like I always said , my stim doesn't take all the pain away , but it has helped so much with the pain in my legs.. I'm glad I had the implant .
