Note From Izzy~

Hey everyone! Im off for my tourney this weekend, I have tons to do and Im flying out in the morning first thing. I wanted to say Thank You" to everyone who has wished me well, and Ill be playing for all of you CPers and friends as well this weekend.

Ill try to make this brief, but i did get my script today from the fill in doc while my doc is dealing with his trauma. Youll not believe what it was. Oxycodone IR 10 mg. for those of you who dont know me my doc is HOURS away, and there is no way to even drive and get it fixed.

Im over it. Im sure he must not have listed in my chart the reaction I had, or the other doc Id think wouldnt have written me a script for it and sent it. Maybe their whole office is crazy right now with my doc's trauma that has happened. I dont know, and i do not have time to fix it now at all.

I didnt even bother calling back. The other doc did [as far as I know] ok my hydro for early pickup, actually to be fed exed to me on location, instead of making me wait a week. I hate my meds being shipped, Im sure they wil arrive at my hotel just fine, but when you live day to day for your meds to be able to function there is no room for error. Im going to get though this crap and then figure another plan after this weekend and all.

Stress certainly makes my pain so much worse. So Im trying not to get too flustered and negative, and just deal with it. Its an exciting time and everything, so Im going to just stay positive and focus on what I do.

I did speak to a surgeon yesterday that my golf pro here had do his back as well as a few others around, so Im excited to get in for an appt. the doc is taking appts 4 weeks out, so I said Id contact them after this weekend.

One of the docs MY doc had mentioned I got terrible, terrible feedback from, not only in the golf circle, but all around. So Ill see as many as I can until I feel right about one.

I hope everyone has a tolerant pain week and weekend, and Ill for sure be online checking out the board while Im gone, but I am alot of times tired, and dont have time to post, and honestly, I try just to keep focused and try to concentrate on golf. Please dont be offended~
Ill be thinking of all of you. thank you again for your wonderful support and friendships!
xoxoxox,
IZZY'SMOM

Re: Note From Izzy~

Izz, play well, we know you will! we will all be here waiting to hear how things turn out. I hope your meds arrive no problem, fed ex is pretty reliable, I have never used them for meds, but I do a lot of E bay buying and selling and they always come through for me, and have never lost a package.

If you have a laptop, you can request a tracking number and you can actually see where it is until it arrives.

Good luck with everything, we're all cheering for you!

Fabby

Re: Note From Izzy~

Good luck Izz in the Open. I'm sure you'll do well.

Sorry to hear about the whole med issue....I think you're handling it the right way....Just get through the short term and deal with it next week after your tournament and the Doc gets back....Just be careful of the Oxy please....Watch for the warning signs. If you need help, don't hesitate to do so.

Good luck.

Ex

Re: Note From Izzy~

Hey everyone!!!
Thank you SO much for the replies. Ex, thank you for agreeing that Im doing the right thing. I absolutely depend on all of your posts and advice, and that took a load off of me right there, along with the wonderful support you all have shown me.

I wont be flying commercial, and I love that factor, because I dont have to worry about all of the security crap. I can sleep in a tiny bit and dont have to be there the glorious 2 hours early for all of the drama.

I did want to add that i filled the OC, just in case, today, and after the packing and everything, I did try one tonite about 2 hours ago. Not a problem at all. Not really any difference in my pain level though. I dont think its strong enough, but anything to add to the hydro is appreciated.
I was playing with a group for brest cancer about 4 days ago, and had no b/t meds with me. Someone had Tylenol, and Ive had major problems with it before, but i was desperate. I could not pull out, nor even step down a tad from this tourney. So I took it, two tabs and i was sick as a dog, and itching and wanted to just lie down.

I know that Tylenol is not ever going to work for me. thats that. I dont know about the first time I tried the Oxy, but this time I handled it ok.

I have problems with yellow dye, ect. just random things youd never expect and thats why I do compounding. they tell me everything that is in it, and its the bare minimum.
I only tried one dose of the Oxy tonite, and did ok, but not stellar, not as much itching and no breathing problems, so Ill take it, with me just in case.

My doc's sons funeral is tomorrow, and even though I would like to attend, we sent flowers and donated in lieu of their choice of charity, because hubby wsnt even going to be able to make it.

Thanks again everyone for your kind thoughts and support. Sorry if Im a tad scattered tonite, typical for me when Im trying to get out of town~
Im even missing my favorite TV show, "Flipping Out!"
xoxo0xoxo,
IZZY'SMOM
