Question Steve - Pain Management Message Board

I was looking but I cannot find it - I think you told me that doctors were shooting to get your pain controled at a level of 4-5 - Is that correct?
I was just doing some reading and saw that most people are not that well controlled - Just curious - I guess my 3-4 is really good luck for me

Aver, yes Steve does have an agreement for a 5.

My doctor just agreed to a 5 but says he wants me at a 3/4. Frankly if I stay a 5/6, that will be a major drop for me and I would be shocked if he allows me to continue taking my increase in meds. Geez that sounds negative!!

I think it all depends upon the doctor and what they are willing to dispense in the end.

Thanks Pepper - I would love for you to get down to 3-4 - Bless your heart you have really been through it - I got out of control with the opana but am getting back on track with my oxycontin - I do miss not having my vicodan for b/t because the percocet just does not give me the same relief - I guess that sounds crazy - I am glad your doc is starting to pay attention, maybe you can get down to something reasonable
do watch yourself, with the pain relief comes the wanting to get busy doing those things that have been put away or ignored and with that comes a world of hurt as payback
anyway thanks for the answer and I hope you are having a level 4 weekend because it sounds like that is a treat for you - you are so great I just want you to feel better
