My pain contract states that I must wait a week to see what my reaction will be after any med change. It states the meds scripted there could affect driving,thus the wait period. Your dr should be able to guide you. Hope it is working out well for you.

It really depends on the person. Is this your first "hardcore" narcotic? If not, and you've been driving on other meds of this type, then you'll probably be fine. If it is, then you should wait a couple of days and see how you feel after you take it during the day, regarding dizziness, sleepiness, etc. It also may depend on what time of day you take it.
