It depends on your individual plan. You can call them or go on their member services site to check out if your medication is covered or not or you may have to pay the highest copay if you have a tiered insurance plan like me.

Yes, Brian is correct. It's less about Atena and more about your specific plan and how much it covers. Two people, for example, can have the same insurance company...One gets it covered and the other doesn't. Plan coverage is based on the "tier" of the med and how much the plan owner pays into the plan.

Yes but since it is a brand name it is the highest co-pay if you have a Tier Plan like I do 50.00

Everyone who has already posted is correct, so I won't add to that. All I can tell you is to be prepared to pay a hefty sum if your insurance doesn't cover them. Without insurance, a month's worth of Lidoderm patches would have cost me $799.00. That was for 30 patches. My pharmacist told me that just as a little "FYI" once when I was using them and asked why I had to pay such a high copay ($50.00) when I picked them up. I had no idea they would be on the top tier of medications, but like stated above, they are Brand name only.

Call your insurance company and see if your plan covers them before heading to the pharmacy.

Oh- Also, I don't know if the manufacturer of Lidoderm patches does this, but some companies offer financial assistance with some of their medications. It might be worth a look-see to find out if this company offers help, or even factory direct coupons.
