Hi Dayna,
in your posts you say you had EMG's. I have a question for you, I had a EMG yesterday. I was scared , but figured if I made it threw the discogram this would be easier, well it was at first. When the dr. was doing my legs it was uncomfortable, but tolerable. then when he said he was 90% done he went up to my butt/back and near where my fusion was done he stuck a 2 inch pin in and I almost flew of the table, It was so painful. I was screaming! Since then my back is so soar that I cant even lean against the back of a chair!
does this sound normal to you?
I need to hear if this guy screwed up or what??
when I screamed my friend asked why it was so painful, he said dont worry it was probley scar tissue. He had no compassion, or bedside manner!

I am not a dr. but this does not sound normal!
I would question it when you get the results. I had an EMG done and when he stuck the needles in the area of my back that is sore the machine made horrible static.....he kept telling me to move and move again.....it was uncomfortable etc. But I was told I had a normal EMG. I never questioned it......but later wish I would have gotten an explanation as to why the machine made so much static!!

Hi,

Had an extremely gentle doctor but the emg i had left me in pain for days. Yes, it hurt like hell and wouldn't want one again. I don't know if he did that needle thing though, didn't feel anything shoved that far. He only told me he was going to put it in a teeny tiny bit. I think it was the pulse that made me sore, but hey all i know is i was ****ed because i was told it was an inevasive process. Felt pretty evasive to me, lol.
