Tophatter,
I have researched IDET extensively in the past six months. I had IDET done 4 days ago for an annulus tear at L4-5. I also had the discogram and had two painful disks, with 4-5 being the worst. A large majority of the info out there suggests that instances in which a patient has > 2 levels, they are poor candidates for the procedure. Because multiple levels are more difficult to keep immobilized, it's usually not an option. The restrictions post IDET are very severe, but if I can avoid the fusion, I'm happy. The IDET is also usually used for one tear not several, which is probably what complicates your situation. Hope you find the answers you need. Let me know if you have questions I can answer for you. Take care, Oh~
