From what I understand, hydrocodone (the 10 in the 10/325 Norco) is about 2/3rd's the strength of oxycodone. From the amount of oxy you stated, I assume you're referring to Oxycontin, which is long acting, supposedly over 12 hours. So the two really aren't comparable, as you would take the Norco every four hours typically. Most physicians would prescribe two 40mg oxycontins a day... to achieve an equivalent effect, you would probably have to take 12 10/325 hydros a day, which is a lot, more than any physician would probably prescribe because of the large amount of tylenol (the 325 in 10/325) involved.
I personally don't like oxycontins, as they hit me all at once and don't last much past five hours. But at least they don't have tylenol in them, which I belive can cause liver damage when taken to excess.
