Answer found re: Kadian problem - Pain Management Message Board

On April 30th, I went to my doctor and demanded to be taken off Kadian/morphine. He put me on the Fentanyl/Durgesic Patch (100 mgs) the next day. For five days, I went through hell with the exact symptoms that I'd had for five years, (cold sweats, vomiting, diarrhea, insomnia etc.), which were being caused by severe withdrawal.
Now, I am relatively pain-free and I no longer have the withdrawal symptoms every few days. I am so happy to have finally found the answer and to be getting my life back. I've not felt this good for years and my family and friends are just delighted for me. Thank you to all who contributed suggestions and help. I really appreciate it. I hope that you all find your answers and wish you all the best.

I too am happy for you tha you have found something that works. Its amazing how wonderful someone can feel just by haveing their life restored to them. I too have my family and friends tell me how nice it is to see me without as much pain. I can enjoy my dogs and actually go on those missed walks w/my spouse. And even go fishing again. I share in your joy. And may you have many more good days to come.
