MS CONTIN? - Pain Management Message Board

I am new to the board and to PM. My PM doctor just prescribed me MS contin for my lower back pain, nerve damage...I was wondering if anyone has had any luck on them? The thing that makes me nervous is the morphine and how they say u can be addicted and than u have withdrawals from them? any input on them would be helpful.

it is a natural response to be nervous of beginning anything new.

it never hurts to get a second opinion when you have questions--just be sure that you have confidence with your doctors and are able to communicate your concerns with them.

You are so right..I really do like thos new PM doctor though...i feel very comfortable talking to him. The word "morphine" is kinda scary...but it has been helping my pain. Thanks so much for your reply!
