NO LUCK WITH BACK SHOTS - Pain Management Message Board

THE FIRST ONE WAS DONE WITH ALOT OF PAIN AND I GOT SOME RELIEF WITH IT I WENT FOR IN FOR SHOT #2 3 WEEKS LATER THE DR WAS UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE SHOT HE SAID MY BACK WAS SO BAD HE COULD NOT GET THE NEEDLES TO GO IN. HE SAID I NEED TO HAVE BACK SERG, THIS WOULD BE SERG, #3 AND THE SERG WOULD BE A 360% FUSSON ANY ONE WITH THE SAME THING GOING ON IN THEIR LIFE,I AM SO DEPPRESED,NO PAIN RELIEFE IN SIGHT,

Dear Ola....

First, I'm so sorry that you are in so much pain. I jump back and forth from this board to the Back Pain board. I know there are quite a few people over there who've had the 360 fusion. Articles within the last 2 weeks! Hope you find the info you need and that you get some pain relief.

9/22/00 24 hour labor, baby posterior, left tailbone killing me
12/00 MRI - PCP said nothing amiss - but, had to begin taking vicodin
2/8/02 - 2nd baby born after long, painful pregnance as weight gain
2000-11/02 various PT + pain meds
11/02 Referred to Neuro
3/03 NEW MRI - shows slight bulge L3-L4,slight DDD Neuro Refers to PM for ESI
3/03 PM Doc orders ESI
3/21,4/1,4/8 - ESI's no help
5/9 - Discogram - shows Tear L4 w/ significant leak onto nerves, DDD
Doc sched NEW discogram 'cuz performing doc oversedated, False Negative

The epidurals are crap any way. The anest. tht did mine bacisally said all the doctors think they will cure back pain when in fact maybe 50% get releif and the rest get none. I went for one shot and was worse off then before having them. I am in constant pain now 24/7 becuase of those stupid shots. Never again... even my new pm doctor didn't even question why I never got the other two after i told him what happened. If something doesn't work the first time don't let someone tell you to keep going. Stop right there becuase if it didn't work the first time it's not going to at all!!!
