pain management
Hi, Thanks to everyone who responded! I have been dealing with migraine headaches for 15 years without seeing a specialist. Just in the last couple of months, I went to a neuro specialist and he put me on Celexa and midrin (low poten muscle relax). The celexa help somewhat, however the midrin had no effect at all. I then went back to see the specialist and prescribed me vicodin 5/500. I took that med and would work for just two hours and then pain would return. Now I am not a stupid person when it comes to any kind of medication, however I went back to my doctor and told him that I need (not want) norco 10/350 and he agreed due to the fact that 4grams of tylenol a day WILL destroy or potentially damage the liver and lining of you stomach. After about a month taking norco, I was unable to stomach a lot of hydrocodone and threw that med away. Frustrated at this point, I bought meds off the street (oxycontin, percocet, valuim). However, the oxy worked great until I ran out and wanted to kill myself when going thru the withdrawals. Then a friend of mine refered me to methadone and I was so impressed by this synthetic drung that I literaly tell people to take for any kind of pain. You see, I was not looking for the high, just the pain relief. But instead, wasted too much time tring meds that not only help the pain biefly, but in the process potentialy destroy other important organs in our body. If my doctor new what he was doing, he could of prescribed meth and things would have been great! |
