Lortab Use - Pain Management Message Board

Hello, I have a question I have bulging disc of L4 & L5 with chronic back pain. I recently had a epidural injection it seemed to help me. However I still take 1-2 lortabs a day to break lessen the dicomfort... My question is 1-2 pills an abuse and is there long term effects of medication (i have been taking roghly a year) Thanks for your future REPLY's

I took 6 pills a day for 5 years. It is not good to have all the tylanol that is in it at higher doses. It will kill your liver over the long term. It is not abuse if you are taking it for pain only and not exceeding your dose for a high or taking it when you don't have pain. You are taking a low dose I wouldn't worry to much.
