Great post,Wes,it,s too bad it has to be this way,but until somebody gets the DEA off these dr.,s backs and let them practice the medicine, only a few brave docs will risk Freely Rxing Opiates. The docs that will are over-run with patients that travel, sometimes, hundreds of miles to get to the way of relief from daily onslaught of terrible, debilitating pain. You can,t blame these docs when their very jobs are on the line cause they write what they do on those little pads that help so many,so much, only to be told they are dispensing controlled substances in an unsafe or impractical way by some Federal ---hole that,s tryin to practice medicine for the docs. Why not be on the streets or lookin at the borders to the South where the real drugs problems are.Or is it easier(and safer) to push around meek Physicians tryin to uphold the oath they took to ease humanities suffering.Granted, there are some real butt-head docs out there, but there,s also a whole lot of darn good ones that would Rx what their patients needed,if they did,nt have to constantly be worried about losing their licenses. That,s a bad no-win situation.Jack B.
