Hey Ruko,
About the demerol and percacet. Demerol in pill form is not nearly as strong as the percacet. Plus demerol has a active metobolite called normeperdine which if taken in the long term can be very toxic to the liver. And that is the same for the injectable demerol as well. Demerol in the injectable is a very good pain reliever but it is not intended for long term pain managemnet. It should not be taken for longer than 2 weeks. Thats the info that I have found on that particular med. And yes pain meds work differently on other people. I do have a question for you. Is it when you take a percacet that there is no pain relief at all or is it that you can't feel and of the side effects of the drug. Like for me I take OxyIr for bt pain. Its just like your med except no tylenol in it. I know when I take one there is not euphoria anymore or sleepiness just pain relief. If its that you just aren't getting any pain relief. Then maybe you should contact your doc for anopther BT med. I hope that this has helped. Take care and keep us posted..
