The marinol is realy prescribed for cancer patients to relieve nasea and for HIV/Aids patients to increase their appetite. But no other medical uses have yet been authorized by the FDA.
I can tell you, from personal experience, that it is not going to make your pain go away. I tried it for a month with some high grade grownthis past spring. It made me more paranoid about the fact that i was using yet another strong medicine and become more self aware or apprehensive based on its use. I had used it regularily when I was in highschool 20 years ago for kicks, so I looked up some really old friends to see if it could help. Not only did I not like it any more, I didn't understand why I had even enjoyed it in the first place. But I gave it the go around to see if it would help and after a month, i realized that it wasn't doing anything for the pain, so I stopped. That was a good 6 months ago and prior to my most recent posterior fusion with cage insertion.
I would stick with the known pain medications-solutions that your doctor currently has available to use, unless anybody has any other first hand experiences that differ from my own.
