Post Numbness, weak, aching in right arm

My wife has been having a tingling sensation, cold, weak, and achey right arm. It is mostly from the elbow through all fingers, but it also starts at the front, under the collar bone area. She also has to pop her fingers and wrist constantly to relive the pressure feeling. It's been going on for over a week, and she's very worried about what it could be. Has anyone ever heard of such symptoms, and could you offer some suggestions of what this could be? Thanks.

2002-MRI/ L3/L4 and L4/L5 annular bulging; DDD L4-5 and L5-S1
2003 February- Orthopeadic Spinal Surgeon said not a candidate for surgery,Percocet 5/325 every 6 hrs.
2003 June-1 month at PM clinic, Percocet 7.5/325 every 4 hrs.
08JULY2003-Had Discogram, comfirmed pain comming from L4-L5 disc.Followup confirms tear at L4/L5, leaking and pushing on a nerve.
JULY2003-Duragesic patch, had allergic reaction, switched to Norco. Norco provides no releif. Dr. wants me to have IDET. NOPE!!
14AUG2003- New PM Dr. switched me to Oxycontin, 20mg/2x a day.
Lorocet+ 2x per day, no releif. Need 3x/day Oxycontin, or ESI's to start to help.
EMG says severe nerve irritation in lower back. Shows legs ok.
06SEPT03-Severe butt/leg/foot pain, suddenly while driveing, feels like constant electrial shock, I am worried about symptom change.
Sept.12,2003-ESI, no releif.
Oct.6,2003-ESI, no releif.
Oct.20,2003-Caudal epidural steroid injection. Provided @ 20% reduction in back pain. Nuccloplasty suggested by Dr. if Caudal fails.
Surgery is NOT an option at this time, due to meds working good (better with 3x/day doseing), long recovery time, possible failure/ need to have surgery again in a few years due to DDD.

Sounds as though it may be related to either tendonitis and/or bursitis. I had them both (at the same time) in my shoulder once and i was constantly popping my elbow from the pressure. My entire arm was numb, tingling and cold feeling as well. It ached in my bicep area down my arm into my fingers... Anyway, I don't know for sure if this could be what the deal is, but it sounds a lot like my bursitis/tendonitis... I was given anti-inflammatories and it got better soon....

Much

Crystal,
Thanks for the fast reply. She has a family history MS, and she is terrifed that she may have symptoms of that. I told her that I felt it was more like a nerve or disc problem, but you explaination sounds more likely, since you have personally experienced these symptoms. I am trying to get her to have an MRI, just to rule out disc or bone problems. Thanks again.

Oct.20,2003-Caudal epidural scheduled. Last one in series. Scared as heck,as I hear they are painful. Decompression considered if Caudal fails. (Non-invasive/fast recovery time)
Surgery is NOT an option at this time, do to meds working great, long recovery time, possible failure and need to have surgery again.

griff,
I hope things turn out to not be too involved. I hope it is just a simple bout of tendonitis or bursitis rather than anything closely involved with MS.

I just wanted you to know that I'll be praying for things to turn out okay for your wife. Hope you're doing okay, and hope she is okay too.

Much
Crystal
