pain pump and mri's
I know that if you get a spinal stimulator you can no longer have and MRI. Does anyone know if that also applies to a pain pump?

Yes, that applies to the pain pump. I have to have ct-scans which is no big deal of course.

I've found that it really depends on the model of pump that you have and the type of MRIs that they have. My pump is about 5 yrs old and I CAN have an MRI. Now, the MRI machines are older models.... The hospital where I go to get my MRIs have manuals that they were able to cross-reference my pump model to see whether or not it was 'okay' to get into the machine. After a phone call to manufacturer to double check, I was sent across the street to one of their old MRIs. LOL
