Unhappy Chronic pain!

I have a referral and have been labeled a chronic pain patient. Mine comes from my jaw and teeth. I have had very extensive work done and now suffer from nerve damage and much more. I spend hours in bed crying because of the intense pain. This condition isn't very common and I am having a terrible time finding an understanding pm doctor who can help. I live in the oc area and any help anyone could give me I would be so grateful! This has been going on for two years and I truly can't continue to suffer like this. Please someone help!! Thank you!

Re: Chronic pain!

Look up pain management clinics under your insurance and you should be able to locate one through there. Or call your insurance company and ask for the list of providers.
The other option is to check your yellow pages under doctors and then pain management and start calling.
Do you have trigeminal neuralgia? If so, do a search for it on one of the search engines. They have a patient advocacy group that may have some recommendations for doctors in your area.

Re: Chronic pain!

One problem I'm having is no insurance. That info was very helpful as I do have Tigeminal neuralgia. That is one of a couple problems. I searched that and it was very helpful. Thank you! I was starting to feel so hopeless!

Re: Chronic pain!

Are you eligible for any State coverage. I know in MD they offer it to folks without it and who have low income. I'm not proud, I needed it for a short time many years ago. Check it out.
