Hi,
I called Mylan the company that makes the Fentanyl Patches about 2 weeks agi about the Bioclusive overlays, and I still have not received the overlays. How long did it take for you to get your overlays from them? I'm wondering if I need to call again. Thank you for your help!
Huh, I didn't know Mylan made overlays. I never had any problem with Mylans staying on. I used to get the Bioclusives from Duragesic but they do not do that any more. Now that Duragesic patches are not available for the forseeable future, I am getting Actavis and I cannot keep them on, hate em!
It can't hurt to call and see why they are taking so long!
I called Mylan because I read that they covered sending you overlays. I was told that they were going to send me Bioclusive. I didn't know that they aren't available anymore? I will have to talk to my doctor about it! Thank you for telling me!
If I'm not mistaken it is a product that is about the same as Tegaderm by 3M. It is pretty much the same stuff that paramedics or nurses put over your IV site when you are in the hospital. It is transparent and waterproof, sticks alot closer to the skin holding the edges of the patch close to the skin not allowing it to roll up. A lot of people who are on the patch talk about it doing wonders for keeping the patch on tight. I personally am not on the patch but I have seen it in Walgreens marketed under the Nexcare brand. A lot of people buy it online to save a little more $$$
Hope this helps,
"Joe"

It took about 3 weeks to receive my first shipment. They work great! They give you an order form send in, so you receive your next shipment in a more timely manner.
My bad, I meant Duragesic was no longer sending free overlays, if Mylan said they were sending you some then I am sure they are. Sorry for the mix up!
Yes, Mylan sends them completely without charge on a monthly a basis. They will even send the right quantity for those of us that change our patches every 48 hrs. They are very nice to deal with and quite efficient. Like I said in my response. The first order did take about 3 weeks to arrive, but once an indivdual is in their system, subsequent shipments arrive much faster.
Glad I found this post, as I'm having terrible problems keeping my fentanyl patches on ....grrr! I have tried using the plastic medical tape, but that only lasts so long. Am going to call the company that my patches come from & see if they'll help me out with opsite/tegaderm/biocclusive dressings. This made my day....but I'm easily amused, too!!
Hello everybody, I called Mylan a few months ago and became aware that as long as you use mylan brand patches you can receive free askinaderm overlays, they work great. heres the number, 800-848-0461, ext 5119, or to reorder ext 4330.
