Cymbalta (for pain). Diabetics, did it make your sugar high?

I am a type 1 diabetic with pretty bad nerve pain due to both diabetic neuropathy and SI joint pain. I noticed that, Cymbalta, which is used often for pain in patients, including a lot of diabetics, made my sugars real high. To the point where I was spilling ketones in my urine in the mornings. It seemed like it might be working, however, I didn't stay on it long enough to get much benefit due to the elevated blood sugars. Anyone else, with diabetes and pain try Cymbalta? Did it screw up your blood sugars? If so, could you manage it with just insulin or medication increases. Thanks for any input. Lisa.
