Unbelievable. The epidural injection worked.

I just woke up and stumbled straight for my pills, like I always do. My pain is always wicked first thing in the morning. Sometimes it takes two pills and several hours to get a handle on it. But this morning, when I opened the safe to get a pill, I realized something bizarre. I didnt need one.

I'm in shock. I cant believe this. I'm at only about a 1 or a 2. My back still feels like I've been punched, from the epidural injection, (I'm bruised and swollen pretty bad) but my arms, where my pain is, dont even hardly ache. I dont want to get excited yet. Maybe it's a fluke. Maybe I'm just trippin' out. Heck, maybe I'm still asleep and dreaming.

I dont want to tell my husband or anybody else yet. They'll get so excited and want me to be 'normal' and then if I do need a pill in a bit, they'll be so dissapointed.

I just dont know what to think. This is the first time my pain has been so low in a very very long time. It's a strange feeling.

Yeah. It was a fluke. Pain is still there. No change.

Re: Unbelievable. The epidural injection worked.

Mom-give it time today. My PM told me it takes 2-48 hours before I see relief. So keep your chin up, it may help yet! I have had three of the caudal injections...and I am one of hte lucky ones that it works on. I get anywhrer from 9-12 months of relief from it.

so keepyour chin up!

same thing i experienced when i had epidurals-i guess you want it to work so bad, and it is said your mind can be very strong when you want something like that soooo bad. but it did help. a little. i guess.

Re: Unbelievable. The epidural injection worked.

Thanks. The power of the mind Oh well. It might have helped a little bit. My pain isn't AS bad as usual, and I was doing some lifting that I shouldnt have done, so who knows?
