| Re: Pain in neck and shoulder blades
Hi, welcome to the Boards. Sorry your having such trouble. Believe me I say this very gently, being overweight can cause back/neck pain. Have you considered going to a specialist to have your condition diagnosed? That would probably be the safest next step. The Tramadol that they've put you on is a very dangerous drug, so please be careful with it. It's very addictive, can cause grand mal seizures, is extremely hard to detox off of, if you get hooked on. It also has anti-depressive properties so you can't take any other psych meds with it, including herbals, you could get Serotonin Syndrome. If you have a Primary Care Doc, you could go to them and have them refer you to a specialist, that doc could do x-rays, scans or an MRI to find out what's going on with your neck.
It will be very hard for anyone here on the boards or even friends or family to tell you whats causing your neck problems, it could be so many things, and everyone is different when it comes to neck and back pains.
Take care,
Kat
