Anyone have these? teeth ache, upper back pains and chest tightness!

Does anyone else get these symptoms: Teeth aching, sharp pains and soreness in your back and long lasting chest tightness. The teeth aching drives me crazy. First i will feel it in my top teeth then its in my bottom teeth. Then it stops and starts again a little while later. I get sharp pains in my upper back that need to be rubbed out and it seems like I have constant chest tightness. I have been to the er for the chest tightness when it started and I did not have a heart attack. I followed up with internest and cardiologist who said real heart problems don't present with chest tightness for weeks on end and had stress test, ekg, blood work, chest x-ray. I used to get really bad headaches that caused wierd sensations in my teeth. An ache if you will. Can being under great anxiety and tension cause your teeth to ache. I have woken up with a swollen jaw from clenching my teeth. I keep obsessing over these symptoms.

Tony,

Chest tightness is one of my ongoing problems. My therapist used to tell me it is from our breathing pattern. I guess what happens is you breath from your chest, rather than from your diaphram, and it causes the muscles to tense. As for your aching jaw and teeth, sounds like you are probably clenching them all day and night. Try making a conscious effort to slacken and relax your jaws. I know these things are frightening; I'm currently battling my own re-emerged panic. Good luck and take care.

Hi Tony,
Yes, I have had all of these symptoms.

First, for the chest tightness-try taking 400-500mg of Magnesium everyday. It might take a week or two before you notice a difference, but I reallly think it will help you. This has helped my chest pressure immensely. I let up on taking it for awhile and my chest pressure came back. So, now I'm taking it again and it's getting better.

Your teeth aching could be caused by your grinding. I also grind my teeth at night(I didn't know I did this until my husband told me ). I took the advice of someone on here and bought a mouth guard at walmart(the ones in the toothpaste section, approx. $18). I just started using it a couple days ago, so I'm hoping it will help my headaches, toothaches, etc.
Another thing that can cause your teeth to ache(and headaches) are sinus infections. I ended up having a sinus infection(had a sinus CT) and the only sinus related symptoms I had were headaches(top of head and forehead), dizziness, and my upper teeth ached.

Hope this helps. Hilery

There is nothing to worry about. About 2 months ago, I had exact symptoms. Tooth aches, both upper and lower jaws, radiating headaches (mainly my forehead and back of my head), chest tightness which lasted for about 3 weeks. It all started with my sinus. Did you know that your sinus, tooth aches, and migraines are all connected? This is caused by hormonal imbalances and your brain and stomach are reacting to it in funny way. You have to STOP associating these sensations with other symptons like heart attack. It will only makes the sensations to grow stronger, especially your headache and chest pain.
I would take some Advil or aspirin if these sensations are making you very anxious. Most important of all, get plenty of sleep. Taking vitamin C and Magnesium will not help you right away, but it will accelerate your recovery time.

Re: Anyone have these? teeth ache, upper back pains and chest tightness!

Thanks everybody. I have been worse as of late after going in to see my neurologist. He said he wasn't going to fill my xanax prescription anymore even though I really only use them for very severe anxiety and panic attacks. Now I scared what will happen down the road.

Re: Anyone have these? teeth ache, upper back pains and chest tightness!

Question? Does magnesium really help the chest tightness, and if so, how or why? Gosh I would love to fix at least that one problem of mine! Thanks.

Cindy
