I have not but I believe it is based on CBT which is the most effective treatment for panic disorder. My favorite introductory book on CBT is the "Been There, Done That? Do This! book by Sam *****. It's a short and simple book that gives you all the CBT basics not just panic disorder, though it was used in my group for panic disorder. Also Burn's books are excellent but can be a bit overwhelming as they are very detailed. There's also a workbook someone mentioned on here by Craske and Barlow I have heard good things about for panic and they are two of the leading Panic experts in the country.

Take care!

Billy

I dont know of it but in general books on overcoming panic attacks and anxiety have helpful advice, its a good idea to get a collection of them and read them often

Re: Has anyone read this book - Dont Panic???

My doctor told me to get The Phobia and Anxiety Workbook. It's by a guy named Bourne (or something like that). I'm suppose to read the first few chapters before starting my behavior therapy. In the meantime, i'm gonna take the extended release version of xanax until I can get this phobia and panic disorder under control. I have anxiety and panic attacks and I have a very bad phobia.

Wish me luck !

ckellym, I'm the one that mentioned the workbook by Craske and Barlow. It's called Mastery of your Anxiety and Panic-Third Edition. I also like the ***** book because it is simple and has short chapters
