Ok guys, I had way too much caffeine this morning and now my heart is doing those PVC things. I had about 3 or 4 quick pounds and then it was fine. bUt now I'm a little anxious and don't know whether or not take a half a xanax. I'm trying to breathe and just walk around (which is supposed to help them) but any of you out there online who have these need to give me some quick advise to get me through the next few hours until the caffeine has run its course.
I don't know how scientific this is, but when I used to get them I'd drink ice water and keep moving around, walking, cleaning anything that kept me on the move.
If I sat down that seemed to make the skipped beats worse.
Me too. Walking around definately helps. The problem is that I have to get some work done so my leg is going up and down like crazy. I took a 1/2 xanax just in case. I think I need to keep moving too, though. THanks for the reply.
I'm sure the combo of the Xanax and you moving around will help a lot.
If you still feel that way, try the cold water...I don't know why that works but it does...at least it always did for me.
Yes, I know. We all know. I went off caffeine for about 4 years, and slowly got back on. It's so weird. My goal this summer is to become caffeine free. However, I just read a new study that says if you cosume a very small amount of caffeine every 2 hours (say, a couple of ounces of diet coke rather than a full can) it can actually help you be more alert and responsive without the bad side affects. I think a certain fast food chain does something to their sodas because that's how I got hooked. It has to be a certain kind or it's not any good. I know, I know, it's all in the habit not the stuff........geez.....If I do this again I'm grounding myself!
Lately, I've been hooked on Diet Sierra Mist. Sugar free, and no caffeine. I'll chug a little bit in the mornings to wake me up, simply the rush of the strong carbonation makes me go "AHHHH!" and wakes me up.
