Paxil CR or Lexapro? - Panic Disorders Message Board

Well its been a long three weeks. . I have been given paxil cr and lexapro for my worrying and anxiety. I cant decide which one to take. I am leaning towards the paxil cr becuase its better for anxiety they told me. I dont want to take anything ideally but I know at this point I really do need something. Any suggestion on which medicine would be better would be great.

Take whats best for you but Paxil is a pain in the rear to come off of for a lot of folks. I had major trouble with it once I stopped. Headahce, nausea, irritibality. You name it I had it for about 2 months.

I'm looking to get away from Paxil, because of the weight gain side effects. I want to ask my doc to put me on Wellbutrin. I honestly don't know if it's really the meds working or just my brain thinking that they are working, so fewer panic attacks happen. Know what I mean?

Yea you prolly are having a placebo effect if you dont think its working for you. I mean you should feel a noticable difference if it is actually working.
