HI AGAIN ALL! Hope you're all healthy and on the road to recovery!

Alright... I developed Panic Disorder when I went off alcohol about 18 days ago when I had a HUGE anxiety attack that left me tingly, and now I'm on Zoloft which I've been on for about 6 days.

Everyday since that panic attack however I have at least one of these symptoms most of the time ever since:

Palpitations/Anxiety/SHORTNESS OF BREATH/Chest pains.

Now, I went to the hospital and they took xrays/ekg and I passed it well, while my doctor before said it would probably come out normal when he gave me the Zoloft. Now, the palps have died down wildly because I've been taking Magnesium so that has cut them down wildly, but it seems if the Anxiety cannot make one symptom occur, it goes on to the next one and just stays there... or splits it and you can have both or so on, does anyone have this? AND ALSO, can you die from these spells? I don't mean fainting and such, I mean does the panic disorder's actual shortness of breath can it kill you? *I don't have asthma or any heart disorders btw* Thank you.

Yeah, talk to your doctor, but also don't worry about it too much. I'm also on Zoloft. Zoloft does not actually start working for a while, typically a few weeks, you have to wait. There's a good chance these symptoms are not related to the meds, or only because you are anxious about being on a new medication. Consult your psych. if you are worried, but it is likely okay.

And no, you can't die from it. I don't think. It's unlikely, anyway. It does feel like you might die, though; I've been there.

All of the symptoms you're experiencing are classic signs of alcohol withdrawl, including the anxiety/panic attacks. How heavy of a drinker were you?

Alcohol depletes B vitamins in general and thiamine in particular, I recommend taking a B-complex vitamin supplement plus extra thiamine (100 mgs).
