Not sure if it was!

Hey,
I had a panic attacky spell a few weeks ago. Ive never had any anxiety problems in the past and have no health issues.
I was sitting in the cinema watching harry potter (of all movies :P) and towards the end, I suddenly got a tingly rush down my arms and my head and my heart started racing and I felt almost as though I couldnt breath and I was going to be sick, it was so scary.
Got outside and it felt like I was struggling for air and I had signs like I was going to be sick but nothing was coming out. I worked out it was panic because when I was in the car on the way home (luckily not driving), I started falling asleep and this calmed my heartbeat and breathing.
Anyway, I got home and felt pretty sick. Got in bed and everytime I relaxed and shut my eyes to fall asleep my heart would start racing and I would wake up heavy breathing and needing to be sick but nothing would come up.

I put this all down to a minor bout of food poisoning and after being ill for a few days my panickyness had worn off.

Anyway, that was about 4 weeks ago and since then ive been fine. Went to the cinema once and that brought it all back but it didnt hit me, although I was getting a bit worried and restless.

Then last night, I went to see another longish movie, I have been absolutely perfectly fine and well for the past few weeks but last night I could feel little bouts of it coming on in the cinema but it was ok then right near the end (was a long movie like harry potter), I got the rush to my head and arms and the breathing was getting funny although I could control it and carry on as normal whereas the first time it really debilitated me and I struggled to even talk.

Last night I had the sleeping problem again with me getting panicy as I fall asleep and only falling asleep when im too tired to even think about panicking.

Then today ive had the usual problems I had just after the first attack, where I will be fine when im occupied but as soon as I sit down and relax, I start thinking about the panic attack and I start getting tingly and my heart starts going faster.

It happened exactly the same the first time before it wore off in a few days and I was fine. It seems as though the long movie and sitting down in the cinema eating popcorn brings it on. Obviously it brings back the memory of the first time but its only since ive seen another very long movie it has happened.
Then I become panicky and nervous for a day or so then back to normal.

Can any more experienced people relate to my problem?
I hope it isnt a metal disorder requiring medicine as it is quite weird how im perfectly fine with no problems until I sat through another long movie in the cinema. I never had any issues with it before, it just suddenly happened one day then I feel a bit ill for a day or so then im fine... then I see another long movie, have the attack and feel ill then I guess by the end of the weekend I will be fine again.

Its odd. Any ideas?

Re: Not sure if it was!

Sounds like it might well have been an isolated incident, but your worries about it are causing recurring attacks. The best thing you can do is not to worry about it. If the attacks do keep recurring, you may want to consult a doctor, but try to relax and remind yourself that, even if it happens again, you are probably not in any physical danger.
