This is the worst about anxiety! The what ifs!
I had a c-section 5 months ago since then I have had pain on one side of my pelvis, I told the doc they did an ultra sound, it came back fine, I am now convinced it was a blood clot and it has travled to my lung and I have been short of breath for 3 days now! I am wondering if I should go to the e.r. to ease my fears although it is just me and my daughter right now, no baby sitter till my hubby gets home.
I really hate this.

You DO NOT have a blood clot that is hanging around for 5 months! Blood clots either travel to a not-so-good location and cause major problems, or they attach to the wall of the vein and lyse themselves in a matter of days. This is from a woman who has had three DVTs and bilateral pulmonary embolisms. I was so short of breath I had to pause when speaking and I could barely walk the 10 feet to my bathroom. If the shortness of breath is really worrying you, do call your doc, but I think your anxiety and imagination are running wild (but that happens to us anxious folk quite a bit, I do it myself). BTW, I had a c-section years ago and I still have chronic on and off pelvic pain on one side. Ob/gyns say it may be adhesions/scar tissue type things and that I'd do best to just forget about it and go on about my life, so I have and I don't let it bother me anymore. That's not to say yours won't go away, it probably will, you've only had 5 months of recovery. Take care.

Hi circus, Thanks for posting back to me, I am still tripping out on my pain, it burns all the way down my leg into my butt!

Thanks for calming my fears down, I hate health anxiety, I went to the psych yesterday and he is putting me back on lexapro. I hope it helps, I don't want my weirdness to rub off on my daughter

I am sorry you have had issues with blood clots, I hope you are well now.
