anyone who takes xanax COME HERE

k so i have been taking xanax for a while now...not a long time
a few weeks and the first three times i took it cut the .25 pill in half and got really no relief...a little but not much...
i took ONE of this like every week...so it wasnt much at all
then yesterday i took 3/4 of a pill and i felt SO MUCH better...it took a few hours thoughc(thought it was to work fast) and i went to work and the busy time didnt make me freak like usual i felt like my old self
but im scared to get to where i take it everyday cause i dont wanna become addicted
but then think well if it helps so what
and on the bottle it tells me i can take it up to three times a day????

Re: anyone who takes xanax COME HERE

I have been on aprazolam (xanex) for about 20 yrs. and can take 2 of the 0.5 mg. a day. Yes, I depend on them but they keep my anxiety level down which is what I need to get through each day. I have NEVER taken more then the allowed dosage (and they keep close track on your prescription if you refill it too soon)..

Good luck and hope this helps some..

Re: anyone who takes xanax COME HERE

Zeyavia, don't worry about becoming addicted. Right now it's about you getting better. If you have to take them everyday for a while, so what? Eventually you will start feeling better and you'll notice that there are days when you don't have to take one. I do that too. Sometmes I take two .5 in one day and then I feel better and I'm calm for a week after. I took 1mg a day for several months one time a few years ago and it was fine. So just take them as you need them. You're not abusing them. You will be fine.

Re: anyone who takes xanax COME HERE

thanks guys
i have to say it was GREAT to not care that it was busy at work and not worry why i had a rash on my arm...i mean if i wouldnt have been on the xanax i would have freaked out
im thinking maybe i should take one a day..and see where that takes me
they seem to have a lasting effect on me...as in going into the next day
my only problem is they dont act very fast
even though i think that might be my issue
cause i do still have a little anxiety bout taking them that right after i swallow it im concentrating so hard on me having a neg. side effect i dont think i can truly appreciate what it does until a few hours after...also if i took the whole .25 you think i might feel it quicker??
my question is why not just get on an anti-depressant though???is that better than xanax
thanks though i feel much better
also if i were gonna have a neg. side effect from them...i think i would have already had one right???
