I have been on Buspar for the last 5 months and it has helped me tremendously! I don't understand why doctors are not prescribing this more since it is not an addicting medication.

Buspar takes about 4 weeks to take affect. No, it does not make you tired. There are no side effects that I know of. I am on 60 mgs a day and very rarely have to take a xanax now. I do take this in conjunction with Celexa, antidepressant.

Meds react so differently with each person. One person cantake something and have great results and another can have side effects. I took Buspar and had to come off it because of side effects. It sounds like you're having an awful time. Klonopin withdrawl can be awful. I was taking 3 mg a day and foolishly stopped taking them and was lucky not to have more serious side effects. The best thing I ever took for my anxiety was an antidepressant called Wellbutrin. It was like a miracle drug. No obsessing, no anxiety.

Re: has anyone ever tried buspar? if so how well does it work?

busbar didn't do a thing for me. I may have well have swallowed a mouthful of air, yet Kolonipin was my key to success. It just took the edge off my attacks enough to get me though the day until I finally tossed them and am now drug and panic attack free.
