hi everyone,
I sure hope someone can help me here. i been on 1 mg xanax 3 times a day since feb 2006 i did fine, then around dec 06 i started having little fainting spells not alot just here and there .
Over time they got worse. In june 07 i passed out on the sidewalk and my eyes flickered and rolled back in my head and i shook and started screening, couldnt talk or focus anything didnt have no idea what had happened. I went to neuro drs after another then in dec 07 i finally found one he went by my symtons and said i was having seizures. i had all the tests done MRI,EEG,VEEG, all came back normal. Had theses tests done in 2007 and again in 2008 all normal ,but the dr in dec 07 put me on depakote er 500am 500 pm =1,000 mgs a day.
I took them from dec07 till now and i was sleeping 24/7 and started getting headaches so i got sick of sleeping so much so they took me off. This one is a new dr the old one i had, had a anurizum so i found a neuro specialist. They say im having seizures, but i have heard that xanax can cause you to have seizures, only its not really seizures it just looks like seizures. Does anyone know because the drs tell me you dont get seizures while on xanax only when you come off them.
I'm very confused they want me to go to a rehab to get off the xanax but if its seizures and i dont abuse them why do i need rehab ?? Someone please reply back as soon as possible if you can help me, i been calling around to dr after dr asking this question. Some say yes some say no so im very very confused about if im having seizures because of the xanax or if its really seizures as i did have them when i was 4 yrs old to 9 yrs old then they stopped and came back in 2006 little by little. Now they are worse then ever .
