Question PMS and Panic/Anxiety?

Hi!
i have noticed the last few months that my anxiety gets worse the first day of my period and continues pretty much throughout the whole time of menses.
has anyone else had any experience with this? i know it is a touchy, sensitive topic, but i have to know if anyone else has this?
it seems so practical to have more anxiety when one is hormonal- i also quit breastfeeding too, so it seems like the two would play in... what do you think?

I totally agree. I also get 'edgy', moody, and anxious about 4-5 days before I start. I've also noticed that I get anxious, have mood swings, and am edgy a couple of days before I ovulate. It is very much related to hormonal changes in the body. That's one reason why anxiety and depression are more common in women. The hormonal surges women go through effect the whole chemistry of the brain. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you're not alone!

raina me too only mine is about 10 days before and during try evening primrose oil religiously it does work give it time

Hi!

Thanks for the suggestion- i will look into the Evening Primrose.
I found that when i drink a lot of rosehip, blackberry, raspberry, chamomile teas i feel so much better before, during and after. Celestial Seasonings makes a great fruity tea with all those ingredients.
my anxiety, edgyness and such starts about a day or two before my period starts, and goes for about three or four days in and then mellows out.
