Zoloft Questions.. - Panic Disorders Message Board

I have been taking Zoloft for about a year and half for panic and anxiety. Around Nov. the Dr. and I increased from 25 mg. to 50 mg. I have decided to lower my dosage..so for about 3 weeks, I've been taking 25 mg. But..this week I felt crappy...For the last 4 days, I have felt nauseaus, had headaches, run a low temp(99)..I'm wondering if I have a virus, or if this could be a result of lowering my dosage...has anyone had experience with getting off of Zoloft..what side effects did you have if any? Thanks for the help.

Hmmmm...Do you have a therapist? if not I would recommend seeing one if you take antidepressants since therapy can help deal with taking those...As for zoloft,I too was taking it for only two days and it made me a wreck (see dont go straight to meds topic)..but thats me though,,these drugs work differently on everyone.As for your effects of it..if it makes you feel that bad..get off it and try something else or try to handle it on your own..it does work..it's your mind and you have control

hey i was also on zoloft for 2 days then i couldnt take anymore i stopped it .. but i didnt realize what i had got myself into . i was sick for a week with withdrawl.. but i was only on it for 2 days ..
could u amagin what it would have been like if i was on it longer...
anyways i was on 20mg and i had amjor insomnia for 5 days , anxiety so bad, heart pals , couldnt see straight and just was not all there ...
i went to the ER i was so scared ... went to my docs and they said itll go away in a week so i had to wait it out FOR GOIN ON IT FOR 2 DAYSSS ...WAS I MAD AND SCARED ...I HATE ZOLOFT ..
