How long did it take until your paxil kicked in???? - Panic Disorders Message Board

I am on day 7 right now, and I still am feeling very pulled down from it, all I seem to want to do is sleep...I feel groggy most of the time and I keep hearing it can take 2-4 weeks to kick in. These feelings are just not normal for me, im only 21 and usually very hyper outgoing person and now I hardly want to do anything...normal??? and does this go away? I want to feel normal again, but sometimes I convince myself these pills are not doing nothing...

hey i am on my 4th day of paxil 10mg ...
what are u on ?
i was on paxil before and i was on 20mg and wow was i sick ..
so i now am on 10mg and my side effects arent as bad well at least not as bad as 20mg...
but i still feel tired and spaced out hopefully it will go away ..
ask ur doc if its normal i bet he will say yes?
WHAT OTHER SIDE EFFECTS ARE U HAVING

I am on 20mg and like i said day 7, everybody assures me to stick with it and it will go away and help me...but its pretty much put a hault on my life as far as school and work...My appetite has went away a lot too, which i hate. Nothing sounds good but I want to eat, but have a hard time doing so. I was suppose to go out tonight and go to a bar just to get out, not gonna drink, but to just get out. Not sure if i'll be able to. People have told me to just fight it and do stuff and it will help me get over it. what do u think?

try and go out but u might still feel blah...
im on day 4 and i aint even gonna try to go out in public cause i am still shaky and my head is heavvy and spacey and im very tired..
DO U FEEL THIS WAY?
Go out for a bit and see .. wont kill ya ..paxil willtake longer than 7 days for u to feel better

ya i feel the exact same way...it feels like somebody took all my energy. My doc said to cut my 20 in half and go to 10 starting tomorrow, that it might be to much for me. So I hope that helps. The worst part is the spaceyness. I feel almost like I'm stoned haha. I just want to sleep all the time because I think I will regain energy, but it never seems to help. I am forcing myself to eat somthing right now, and I hope it helps cause I hardly eat compared to how I was eatting
