Effexor making me throw up !! - Panic Disorders Message Board

Is this normal that effexor makes me throw up?? Ive been on it for 3 weeks now and im on 75 mgs . Please let me know. Thanks!

how often have you thrown up? I think you should see a doctor, otherwise stop the effexor and see what happens

CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!! How often do you throw up?? Do u throw up every time youtake your meds??? If so thats not good you need a different medicine, if its just once in a while than maybe its just from the anxiety. I cant eat when I get anxiety, my stomach gets all upset. Well hope you feel better, try and relax and I know thats easier said then done. I am also taking a new med that I have been taking for barely 2 weeks (celexa) its ok I guess, I have trouble sleeping but I think that will all be evend out in time if not I will let my doctor know coz they have to know in order to put you on the right medication

I take effexor too. This is my second week on it. I don't throw up but I do gag alot. I heard that effexor does mess with your gag reflexes and the first thing my dr. told me is that I may feel like I need to throw up. It might be that you are just gagging and not really having the upset stomach type of throwing up. Try chewing on a piece of gum and any type of sugarless speariment gum is great. speriment helps the digestive system. I prefer Extra's Polar Ice gum. give it a try everytime you get the gagging feeling okay.
