turning 30 panic? - Panic Disorders Message Board

Just wondering if anyone has had difficulty with turning the big 3-0? I just turned 30 in March and my anxiety seemed to be worse.

turning 30 was very traumatic for me, we tend to take stock, turning 40 was dreaded but actually not so bad, turning 50 was even easier

Hey Deb,

I turned 30 in November..not one ounce more of Panic..no tears were shed...nothing!A friend of mine will turn 31 Saturday.Now if she had Panic Disorder it realllllllly would of been bad!!

The friend dont want to get old.I guess I can be honest in that I dont want to get old.When I think of getting older,I tend to worry about death.I dont want to die,Ive never wanted to die.

I try to look at the positives that Im getting older,wiser and look forward to a long,healthy and happy life.Death is the unevitable(sp).I shouldnt worry about something thats beyond my control.

i just turned 31 in may, and i have been havine severe panic attacks since i turned 30. the thought of death and old age overwhelms my mind. i just worry all day nad have an average on one panic attack a day.

i am trying to control it, but it is extremely difficult. seeing a psychiatrist and it has really helped me to realize im not going to die. i have changed my lifestyle(no smoking, eating habit changes and more exercise).

Thanks for the replies! I guess turning 30 for me was so disappointing cuz I feel like I really havent accomplished much in the past 30 years due to bad relationships, 21 surgeries in the last 10 years (have endometreosis) and still at home with my mom! I have a good job and can have all the nice things but I would still have liked to be on my own (I have moved out a couple of times with friends than after my dad died I moved back in with my mom). I was just really sad about looking over my last 10 years and feeling like it was a waste of life! Hopefully then next 10 years will improve!!
